About Us

RE-L8 (pronounced RELATE) is a youth owned clothing brand that was established in 2016. We manufacture smart innovative clothing, clothes that are functional they do more than one thing. E.g. we have a bag that converts into a jacket (Side Bag Jacket ). We source our material locally and we provide services that manufacture uniform and merchandising for other brands, companies and schools.

RE-L8 is founded by the Kau Twins Bonang and Duduetsang Kau who started as students back in 2016.The brand was started with 6 printed caps that were initially made for a group of friends hosting an event. They quickly gained demand from peers and strangers and it motivated us to register a business to meet the demand. Throughout the years we have managed to grow and scale the business into a mini factory that employs young people who are passionate about clothing manufacturing.The mission of the brand has always been to create a social movement that collaborates different skills and passions of individuals to help them achieve their dreams.

Our vision is to build a Clothing manufacturing Factory that can play a positive role in reviving our local manufacturing industry. We want to employ and train people to have skills that produce high quality products that compete in the international markets.  

MILESTONES

• 2021 - Opened our first physical store on 61 Steen Street in Rustenburg.           
• 2023 - Open our 2nd Store at TEN FLAGS THEME PARK.                                       
• 2023 - Won R 1Million rand at the National Presidential Pitch for Funding Competition.
